Who will be there?

The Project will consist of over 100 students from Indiana State University, the University of Southern Indiana, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Also, Campus Outreach staff members will be present for the first half of the summer.

The Staff leader of the Project will be Brett Barnes. After his departure for the summer, Kyle Lee will take over as the leader of the Project. Direct discipleship by servant leaders will be the primary mode of leadership throughout the summer.

"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."

Proverbs 27:17

Will I know these people?

You certainly will by the end of the summer! Some of the people you'll be living and working with will be students from different universities; however, by the end of the Project, you will have formed deep and personal bonds with nearly everyone involved.

Where and when will it be held?

The Project will take place in Orlando, Florida from May 25-July 29, 2008. Participants will stay at the Days Inn at the main gate to Universal Studios. Work will take place predominantly at the Universal Studios resort, and other activities will be conducted in Orlando and its surrounding areas.

Orange County, Florida (where Orlando is located) is a very exciting place to hold this project. With its heavy tourist population, opportunities will arise daily for you to share your faith with someone you've never met - and many who don't even live in this country! It's an amazing opportunity to reach the nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"So he went in and out among them at Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord."

Acts 9:28

How can I get there?

There are several ways to get to Orlando. Of course, many flights are available to Orlando International Airport through various carriers. However, a cheaper and more beneficial way to get to the Project is to ride with another participant. More information about who is attending can be found by talking to your campus staff.

What about prior commitments?

Out-of-town trips for events such as weddings, funerals, etc. must be discussed with the project director in advance.

How much will it cost?

The Orlando Project's total cost is $1,380, payable in weekly installments. This price covers your hotel room for the length of the Project, materials used in the Project, and several meals per week.

How can I pay for it?

Though the price may seem steep, it is possible to pay for it in weekly installments. Paychecks from the work done at Universal Studios can be used to offset the price. In addition, you may raise support in the form of tax-deductible donations from other believers and churches.
